Helena’s last election was held in 2020. In 2021, the Alabama State Legislature voted to move municipal elections off the same calendar year as presidential elections. Officials elected in 2020 will serve until 2025. Municipal elections will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. The City Clerk’s office is responsible for overseeing the election process.
