CLOSED: Public Involvement for Intersection Improvements at SR-261 and CR-52
01/05/2026: THE PERIOD FOR PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT HAS CLOSED.
On-line Public Involvement is now open for the Intersection Improvements on SR-261 and CR-52 Project in Helena (Shelby County). Please see ALDOT’s Public Involvement website to view and download Project Maps, Public Information Mailout, Comment Form, Contact Information, and Right-of-Way Information. The In-Person Public Involvement Meeting will be held, Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at Helena City Hall. Comments for the project will close on December 26, 2025.

The 54th Annual Helena Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, beginning at 1:00pm.
The theme of the parade is “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. All forms and information are linked below.

August 8, 2023 Indian Ford Election (Delayed)
Due to unforeseen circumstances the ratification election scheduled for August 8, 2023 of the Indian Ford Fire District (Jefferson County) will be delayed by a few weeks. We will keep everyone informed as soon as the new election date is set. The City of Helena will continue running automatic aid with Indian Ford. Please reach out to Helena City Hall if you have any questions.
